Unit for Evaluation and Development of Education
Unit for Evaluation and Development of Education offers support to educational institutions and organisations for evaluation of education. Unit was established year 1999 in the faculty of Education at Turku University. Unit executes and co-ordinates on assignment evaluation research. Unit assists customers for interpreting research results and planning development action arisen from those results. Unit has collaborated with the School Centre of the city of Turku since 1999. This collaboration has produced three major local educational evaluations: the evaluation of the primary schools, the evaluation of special education and the evaluation of the upper secondary schools. At the moment there are two ongoing evaluation and development projects: one concerning student welfare services at pre-primary and primary schools and another concerning multicultural education.
