will be allocated 10 minutes for presentation, with 10 minutes for discussion, in the course of a session allocated to this.

Advice to proposal writers

Drawing on the experience of the previous proposal review teams, the chances of having a proposal accepted are better if, depending on the nature of the presentation, all or most of the following criteria are fulfilled:

  • The purpose of the presentation is clearly stated.
  • The topic is focused and thus appears to fit in within the relatively short time allotted to it.
  • The method/approach is clearly defined.
  • The nature and scope of data is explicitly stated.
  • The (expected) results to be reported are briefly referred to.
  • The implications/relevance of the findings are briefly noted (main target audiences).
  • The length guideline is carefully adhered to (neither very short/sketchy nor too long proposals).
  • The quality of the contribution itself to be presented is good.

Presentations that clearly reflect the theme of the Conference will be prioritized.
